Each time we visit we discover some new aspect.
We return to Rome. We love the city but find the pressure of tourism difficult. Last year we stayed in the Monti area of Rome. It had a slower pace, although a bit longer walk to get places. We had previously stayed in the Prati area and loved it. We were fortunate this year to be able to find an available apartment in this area again. Just being across the river and away from the main route to the Vatican makes a big difference. It is more like a neighbourhood. It is more peaceful.
The apartment is a 12 minute walk to the Piazza Cavour where the Enoteca Costantini at Piazza Cavour 16b has an extremely good selection of Vermouth.... can't wait. I have been down in the wine cellar, it has thousands of bottles of wine!
